Applesauce
October 19th, 2008
A few days ago my friend Melissa and I made 18 quarts of applesauce each in my kitchen. It literally took all day! We were really tired by the end, but we have yummy homemade applesauce for a whole year!
Melissa is improving her photography skills every day with her new SLR camera. You can see some great pictures of our applesauce day on her blog.

Wow, Jessica & Melissa great hard work! Jessica, will some of this applesauce be made into Apple Specials? Would you want to share your recipe with the cinnamon included?

Well, I didn’t use specific amounts of cinnamon and honey. Each pot held about 24 cups of peeled and sliced apples and then I added about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of honey and heavily sprinkled cinnamon. I think I’ll try to put more cinnamon in next time because it didn’t come through very strong when I tasted it.

Hey Jessica! I finally connected the time to find your blog and the memory that I wanted to find your blog! Yay! I can’t believe that Jimmy does that hard puzzle! He is amazing. Love the pictures of him. Good job making all that applesauce! Kaisha has been making a pot here and a pot there and freezing it too. I’m so thankful to the Lord for her help.
